The scene of the report

On January 4, Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering invited Dr. He Kangjing, senior consultant of SYSTRA Inc., UK, to make a research report entitled “The impact of Olympics on urban traffic”. The secretary of the general party branch of the Center and 20 key scientific research personnel attended the meeting.  Deputy Director Zhu Wei presided over the meeting.

Dr. He Kangjing gave a report on the characteristics, opportunities, challenges and planning of Olympic transportation planning. After the report, the scientific research personnel of the Center and He Kangjing exchanged and discussed issues such as Olympic transportation, Olympic city planning, handling of Olympic emergency events, etc. Through the report, everyone has a deeper understanding of the Olympic transportation, and has new inspiration and thinking on the study of urban operation based on the Olympic transportation. Beijing Research Center of Urban System Engineering will seize the opportunity of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics served by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, give full play to its unique professional advantages in urban safety, risk management and emergency management, help the scientific and technological innovation think tank of BJAST to participate in and implement the “Scientific and Technological Winter Olympics” action plan in depth, and promote the successful preparation of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games.
