On June 24, Fang Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of the BJAST, led a team to the China Soong Ching Science & Culture Center for Young People to carry out research and exchange on promoting the co-construction and sharing of popular science resources, accelerating the collaborative innovation of science communication, and further expanding the fields of exchange and cooperation. Guo Xinbao, director of the China Soong Ching Science & Culture Center for Young People, Ren Haifeng, Deputy Director of the center, and other relevant department heads participated in the exchange. Gao Yue, Deputy Director of the BJAST and Director of the BJAST Center for Science Communication, made a joint investigation.

Fang Li and his entourage investigated the performance center, experience center, art center and exchange camp of China Soong Ching Science & Culture Center for Young People on the spot and learned about the daily operation and business development of various departments in the center.

At the symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on strategic cooperation in display and demonstration, popular science education and so on, and reached a consensus on the content and framework of cooperation. Guo Xinbao welcomed the delegation led by Fang Li and said that there was great potential for cooperation between the two sides. Fang Li pointed out that China Soong Ching Science & Culture Center for Young People has achieved good results in guiding and serving the growth of young people. The BJAST has abundant popular science resources and has broad prospects for cooperation in featured public science projects, popular science competitions, training and research, creative products and capacity building, etc. The two sides decided that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement is an important result of the previous cooperation and exchanges, and will realize a deeper cooperation pattern in the future.
