On September 19, Guo Guangsheng, President of BJAST, led the team to China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and carried out exchanges about institute-university cooperation. They had a forum with Xu Xiaomin, Secretary of Party Committee and Ge Shirong, Principal of China University of Mining and Technology about further cooperation, and concluded the strategic cooperation agreement. The institute's leaders, including Lu Yuguo and Liu Qingjun, and Vice Principal Wang Jiachen and Zhao Fenghua from China University of Mining and Technology attended the forum.

On the forum, Xu Xiaomin introduced the reform and development conditions of the school. Ge Shirong expressed his hope of deepening both parties' cooperation and exchange in terms of utilization of urban underground space, urban public security and ecological restoration of mines by exerting both parties' advantages, so as to make contributions to the urban construction of the capital and coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.

Guo Guangsheng expressed his sincere congratulations to the 110^th anniversary of China University of Mining and Technology, introduced the development conditions of BJAST, and hoped that both parties could take this strategic cooperation as the opportunity, jointly aim at the major strategic demands of the economic and social development of Beijing, focus on urban safety and governance, and jointly explore the new innovative mode of institute-university cooperation in terms of think tank construction, construction of technological platform, construction of science popularization base and talent cultivation, so as to provide high-level technological achievements for the "four-function" construction of Beijing and coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, jointly create the institute-university cooperation models, promote the high-quality development of the capital economy, and make contributions to constructing a science and technology innovation center with global influence.

On the signing ceremony, Guo Guangsheng and Ge Shirong concluded the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of BJAST and China University of Mining and Technology respectively. After the meeting, the team led by Guo Guangsheng investigated and visited the Mining Lab and Augmented Reality Center of Mining Safety.
