The Beijing-Shenyang Pair-up Cooperation Symposium & Signing Ceremony was held in Shenyang on December 17, 2020. The leaders of the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST), Director-General Entity of the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (ZGCTA) attended the meeting and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Administrative Committee of Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Area.
In order to accelerate the cooperation between Beijing and Shenyang, smooth the domestic circulation and promote the synergistic development of Beijing and Shenyang, ZGCTA signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Administrative Committee of Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Area after preliminary exchanges, with regard to strategic cooperation in science and technology innovation. The ZGCTA will enhance decision-making consulting services on Beijing-Shenyang regional synergistic strategy to promote innovation activities of high-tech enterprises in Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Area by providing consulting services on development strategy and planning, carrying out industrial innovation activities, building a platform of science and technology exchange and cooperation, conducting training programs, and bringing science and technology achievements into application.
The signing of the memorandum was highly appraised by Cui Shuqiang, Deputy Mayor of Beijing. It is another cooperation achievement between Beijing and Shenyang under the leadership of the municipal governments, as well as an important initiative of ZGCTA to actively respond to the strategy of Beijing-Shenyang synergistic development and actively participate in promoting revitalization of Northeast China, the country's old industrial base.
In the coming years, relying on the ZGC Global High-Level Forum and top think tank resources at home and abroad, giving full play to its research advantages in the fields of technological innovation and industrial policy, ZGCTA will focus on the key aspects of the synergistic development of Beijing and Shenyang, and closely cooperate with relevant departments in Shenyang to enhance decision-making consulting services on regional synergistic strategies, facilitating the synergy effect in the economic and social development of Beijing and Shenyang.
