On 24^th of September, the BJAST participated in the second general meeting of the Association of Scientific and Technical Cooperation of Russia and China. Liu Qingjun, the vice president of the BJAST, attended the conference and delivered a speech. The meeting was held by online video, and nearly 270 people from China and Russia participated in the meeting.

With the theme of "Science and Technology Innovation, Prosperity and Development", the conference was hosted by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences, and the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The main venues were located in Harbin and Yekaterinburg. China and Russia each had a main venue and more than 30 branch venues, as well as the venue of the Chinese Consulate General in Yekaterinburg.

At the meeting, Liu Qingjun, as a representative of a member unit of the association, pointed out in his speech that local scientific research institutes could focus on serving local economic and social development, strengthening the construction of innovative talent teams, focusing on advantageous areas to stimulate innovative results, regional cooperation and collaborative innovation, and international cooperation to seek common development, etc., and gave full play to the role of association and platforms and strengthened the construction of regional scientific and technological innovation system.

The conference discussed and passed four association resolutions, and Liu Qingjun was nominated and elected as the vice chairman of the association. The association units displayed and communicated through promotional videos. Next, an online promotion conference of Sino-Russian scientific and technological innovation projects was held, and the BJAST recommended 10 representative achievements for display.
