On July 20, the academic seminar "Development Path of Capital Energy System in the New Era - Facing the Carbon Peak and Neutrality Goals and the Development of Resilient Cities", hosted by the BJAST, was successfully held online. Shao Jinwen, Member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Vice President of the BJAST, attended and delivered a speech. He emphasized that energy is an important research field of our institute, introduced the current research achievements, and focused on the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center during the "14th Five Year Plan" period, serving the development of the capital in the new era, and the layout of innovative development in new energy and other fields. He called for the implementation of the new development concept, work together to help the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of energy in the capital, and jointly promote the carbon neutral development goal in Beijing.

This seminar provides a useful discussion and reference on Beijing's energy development under the carbon peak and neutrality goals. At the same time, it enhances the exchange and interaction between the BJAST and major domestic institutions in the field of energy, and will be more conducive to play a role in targeting Beijing's carbon peak and neutrality goals.
