On August 2, Fang Li, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group, and Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of Leading Party Members’ Group and President of BJAST, led a team to visit Beijing University of Technology for investigation and exchanges with Jiang Zeting, Secretary of the Party committee, Nie Zuoren, deputy secretary of the Party committee, President of Beijing Institute of technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering.

The team learned about the discipline development, laboratory construction, research and development of key technologies and industrial application of Beijing University of technology in detail, and then had a discussion. Wu pointed out that BJUT has a comprehensive discipline layout, fruitful achievements in scientific and technological research and talent training, innovative and various scientific and technological awards, active transformation of achievements, high-end and complete innovation platform, a flourishing foreign cooperation, thus its influence is thriving and greatly improved. Fang said that both sides should give play to their respective advantages to form a joint force and expand both influence, working together to contribute more to the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
