On August 18, Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of Leading Party Members’ Group and President of BJAST, led a team to the Future Science City to investigate and exchange views with Yang Renquan, member of the Standing Committee of Changping District Party committee and Executive Deputy Head of Changping District.

Wu Jianmin learned about the construction background, overall plan, development objectives, responsibilities and missions, key fields, R & D direction, talent introduction, operation mechanism, etc. of the Future Science City before having a meeting. He expressed that the BJAST would give full play to its advantages in fields such as development of emerging industries like smart city and medicine and health, energy technology, urban management and operation, think tank research, green and livable construction, decision-making consultation, science popularization, domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, aiming to deeply integrate into and serve the construction and development of Changping District and the Future Science City.
