On December 21, the 16th Beijing Invention and Innovation Contest Special Award for Innovative People and the 6th Innovation Craftsman Selection held an award ceremony in the form of online live broadcast on China Kepu and Beijing TV Network. The event was sponsored by the BJAST and hosted by the Beijing Invention Association.

Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of leading Party members’ Group and President of the BJAST, Yu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Invention Association, Liu Qingjun, Vice President of the BJAST and President of the Beijing Invention Association, and other guests and 40 winners attended the meeting.

The lists of winners of the "Innovation Craftsman", "Innovation Character Special Award", and "Innovation Craftsman Nomination Award" were announced. The winners come from all over the country and all have been working in the frontline in various sectors for a long time, including inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, auto engineers, excellent teachers, model workers and R&D researchers in national defense and medicine.

For six consecutive years, the BJAST has supported the holding of the selection of innovative artisans, aiming to create a social atmosphere that advocates the spirit of artisans, and to promote the spirit of artisans in the field of science and technology.
