The fourth "Belt and Road" International Science Communication Seminar was held via online, with the theme of "Innovation and Science Popularization-Science and Technology Communication in Global Context Innovation Factors Flow". The domestic and foreign science communication experts are from leading enterprises, scientific research institutions and universities, including Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, the Science Center Singapore, the National Science Museum of Thailand, as well as Alibaba Group, the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute. During the conference, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center announced that the open access to "Belt and Road" international science popularization online courses for participating institutions. This meeting was guided by the Department of Science and Technology Talents and Science Popularization of the Ministry of Science and Technology, hosted by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, co-sponsored by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, and hosted by the Science Communication Center of the BJAST, Beijing International Science and Technology Service Center Co., Ltd., and Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd. After the seminar, two international science communication workshops were held simultaneously.

Zhuang Jia, deputy director of China Science and Technology Exchange Center, said that the long-range take-off of scientific and technological progress needs the continuous pull of scientific and technological innovation and science communication. Science communication has become an important force to promote Sci-tech innovation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The cause of science communication must take the initiative to support Sci-tech innovation.

Liu Ziliang, leader of the BJAST, mentioned that holding the "the Belt and Road" International Science Communication Seminar is an important way to promote in-depth exchanges between countries along the "Belt and Road" and international professional science communication practitioners and improve their science popularization capabilities. It is worth mentioning that BJAST has actively built and integrated into the international cooperation platform, and has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with scientific research institutions in 24 " Belt and Road" countries and regions.
