In 2022, the BJAST carried out in-depth social and mass science popularization activities, especially various and colorful science popularization activities were presented under the National Science and Technology Week and Science Popularization Day, which have been widely praised by the public and achieved good social effects.

Recently, the General Office of the China Association for Science and Technology issued the "Notice of the General Office of the China Association for Science and Technology on Praising Participating Entities and Activities of the 2022 National Science Popularization Day". The BJAST was recognized as the Excellent Organizing Entity and the "Bird Watching, Flower Watching, and Deer Watching" launched by Beijing Milu Ecological Research Center was selected as the Excellent Activity of the National Science Popularization Day in 2022. It is reported that a total of 20 entities in Beijing were rated as excellent organizing entities for the 2022 National Science Popularization Day by the China Association for Science and Technology, and 27 activities were rated as excellent activities for the 2022 National Science Popularization Day.

The Beijing National Science Literacy Outline Implementation Office also assessed and awarded the relevant institutions and activities of the 2022 Beijing National Science Popularization Day (the 12th Beijing Science Carnival); 10 activities of the BJAST on the 2022 National Science Popularization Day were selected as excellent activities on the 2022 Beijing National Science Popularization Day (the 12th Beijing Science Carnival).
