• BJAST Held the 8th International Forum on Science and Innovation in Elderly Services Successfully

  • On October 24, the 8th International Forum on Science and Innovation in Elderly Services was successfully held in Beijing. The forum was jointly sponsored by the BJAST and the Beijing Association for Science and Technology with more than 200 people registering offline to participate in the conference, and the "AgeClub Official" platform was broadcast live simultaneously. The theme of this year's forum is "Smart and Healthy Elderly Care: International Progress, Regional Characteristics and Industrial Practice", which aims to commmunicate the latest progress of smart and healthy elderly care in the world in the context of the governance of aging society. 26 experts and scholars from government departments, scientific research institutes, universities, enterprises and scientific and technological service institutions from China, the Netherlands, Singapore and other countries made speeches on topics related to global smart health care innovation.

    Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of the leading party members’ group and President of the BJAST, delivered an opening speech at the conference. It is pointed out that smart and healthy elderly care is not only an international topic, but also a global common challenge. It is only through international experience sharing and exchange and cooperation that we can better understand and respond to the problem of population ageing.

    At the opening ceremony of the forum, the Institute of Smart Aging of the BJAST released the "Beijing Research Report on the Health of the Elderly", which promoted the discussion and exchange of participants on the health of the elderly, and improved the society's attention and attention to the health of the elderly. It provides a certain reference for the practice of relevant departments and pension service organizations.

    The theme forum includes three sub-forums and a round table, mainly related to smart elderly care, disability care, operation management, and smart medical care. It is of great significance to the exchange, cooperation, integration and innovation of smart and healthy elderly care experience in the context of aging social governance.
