  • On October 25, the delegation led by Östen Ekengren, Vice President of the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, paid an exchange visit to the Environmental Protection Research Institute of Light Industry, which is attended by relevant personnel from the Foreign Cooperation Division of BJAST, the Scientific Research Office of the Institute of Environmental Protection, the Research Center, and the Experimental Center of China's Environmental Protection Research Institute of Light Industry. Cheng Yanjun, Director of the Environmental Protection Research Institute of Light Industry, presided over the conference for the exchange visit.

    Cheng Yanjun introduced the general situation of the BJAST and its development orientation of "building three major platforms centering on three studies and three services, with focus on six major areas". He also introduced the development and current situation of the Environmental Protection Research Institute of Light Industry and the water pollution control and other fields involved in the Urban Ecological Environment Research Center of the BJAST, which serves as the leading organization.

    Östen introduced the condition of IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and exchanged views on urban water environment management and other fields. Subsequently, the two sides held in-depth discussions on relevant fields and technologies and reached preliminary cooperation intentions in soil remediation, cleaner production, urban ecological construction and other fields. They took this opportunity to strengthen personnel exchanges and interdisciplinary research.
