• Representatives of Japanese Horiba Group Visited BJAST

  • On October 18, the delegation of three people led by Lin Jiang, China's Minister in charge of the development of Industry-university Promotion Office in Japanese Horiba Group, visited the BJAST. And Liu Qingjun, Vice President of BJAST, met with them.

    Liu Qingjun extended a warm welcome to the new General Manager of Horiba Beijing Branch for his first visit to the Academy. Liu Qingjun extoled the long-term cooperation between China and Japan, and delivered his gratitude to Horiba for bringing more than 10 young professionals of the BJAST to Japan for training through the Sakura Program. He hoped that the two sides will continue to carry out cultural and scientific exchanges in the future, strengthen the exchange of Sakura Program and the training of young talents, and further promote the cooperation between the BJAST and Japan in the fields of strategic soft science, biological science, analysis and testing, high-tech and other technologies.

    Mr. Lin Jiang said that the Japanese Horiba Group has been cooperating with the BJAST for nearly two decades. It is hoped that further cooperation with the BJAST would be conducted for the Sakura Program in the future. In addition, he also sincerely invited researchers from the BJAST to participate in the international strategic talent development speech delivered by Mr. Jai Hakhu, founder of the Japanese Horiba Group, in Tsinghua University.

    Li Junkai, Director of the Foreign Cooperation Division of BJAST, presided over the conference. Zhang Linyuan, Director of the Human Resources Department of the Academy, Li Baoming, Deputy Director, and Liu Weili, Assistant Director of the Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis, and Gao Lijuan, Deputy Minister of Chemistry Department, attended the conference.
