• The BJAST Held a Science Popularization Work Seminar

  • On June 2, in order to thoroughly implement the Beijing Plan for the Construction of International Scientific and Technical Innovation Center during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the Outline of National Scheme for Scientific Literacy (2021-2035) in Beijing, the BJAST invited senior science popularization experts from affiliated institutions to hold a science popularization work seminar on giving full play to the advantages of its science popularization resources and further improving the level of science popularization. Wu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of Leading Party Members’ Group and President of BJAST, attended the meeting. Liu Ziliang, a leader of the BJAST, presided over the meeting.

    The participating experts proactively proposed suggestions for the science popularization work and talked about the bright future. Wu listened carefully to the experts' suggestions and had extensive and in-depth exchanges with them. He pointed out that the BJAST has rich scientific and technological resources and science popularization accumulation, and is an important force to integrate into the construction of Beijing International Scientific and Technical Innovation Center and serve the high-quality development of the capital in the new era. We should strengthen the integrated development of scientific research and popular science, deeply tap scientific and technological resources, transform scientific research achievements, and form multiple and diversified popular science products and services. The academy should promote the healthy development of the science popularization cause with a realistic and practical working style.
