On May 30, the Scientific Data and Open Science Forum of the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum was successfully held. The forum was hosted by the Department of Basic Research of the Ministry of Science and Technology, organized by the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Platform Center, and co-organized by the National Science Data Center and the Zhongguancun Open Science International Innovation Alliance, whose Secretariat is in the BJAST. As one of the parallel forums of the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum, it takes "scientific data and open science" as the theme to exchange and discuss hot and difficult topics such as scientific data policy, international cooperation, and application in the context of open science. Wu Jianmin, President of the BJAST, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech. Relevant researchers from the Institute of Science and Technology Information and the Institute of Digital Economy of Beijing Academy of Science and Technology also joined the event.

On behalf of the Alliance, Wu Jianmin delivered a keynote report entitled "Reflections on Open Science Practice" at the meeting, comprehensively summarizing the development status of open science in Beijing and the achievements of practical activities. He put forward the ideas and goals of Beijing's open science practice and made suggestions, saying that the Alliance will strive to make positive contributions to the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
