The 2023 Belt and Road Science Popularization Activities was held in Wuhan from October 20 to 22. The activities include the Belt and Road Science Popularization Exhibition, the Belt and Road Science Show and, which are sponsored by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center and the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Fifth Belt and Road International Science Communication Seminar, guided by the Department of Science and Technology Talents and Science Popularization of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and hosted by the China Science and Technology Exchange Center.

The Belt and Road Science Popularization Exhibition and the Belt and Road Science Show invited eight science and technology museums, science communication institutions from seven countries and one international organizations, and 22 foreign science popularization experts in total, to bring more than 100 exhibits in four categories: "Wonderful Physics", "Magical Climate", "Magical Science" and "Science and Art". At the same time, the exhibition also set up a special area for science shows. Through science shows, interactive experiences, popular science workshops, etc., using diversified forms of expression and experiential technical means to combine science and art, and bring a three-day wonderful science popularization activities to the on-site and online audiences.

As one of the main event of the series of activities, the 5th Belt and Road International Science Communication Seminar was successfully held on October 21, focusing on the theme of Promote Resource Sharing and Capacity Building for Better International Science Communication.
