On August 29, BJAST held the appointment ceremony of director of Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis and curator of Beijing Planetarium and the fourth lecture of "BJAST Lecture Hall". Secretary of Party Committee of the Academy Fang Li, President Guo Guangsheng, and the academy leaders Lu Yuguo, Xie Wei and Liu Qingjun attended it. Vice President Shao Jinwen attended the conference. Over 140 staff from units subordinate to the academy attended the conference.

On the ceremony, Liu Qingjun announced the decision of appointing Researcher Mao Lanqun of our academy as the director of Beijing Center for Physical & Chemical Analysis and appointing Professor Wang Xiaofeng as the curator of Beijing Planetarium. Guo Guangsheng issued the appointment letter, the appointment letter of director and deputy director of the academy's academic committee, and the honorary certificate of "Scholar of BJAST" to these two experts.

Fang Li showed greetings to the two experts for their joining BJAST on behalf of the Party Committee and leading groups. He pointed out that appointing the high-level expert cadres to our academy was the specific measure of implementing the development positioning and target of BJAST in the new era, and the important exploration and innovation of deepening the reform of cadre personnel system and strengthening the construction of cadre talent team. He also mentioned that they should arrange talent resources inside and outside our academy, construct the cadre talent team of BJAST in the new era, and provide strong talent guarantee for the innovative development of BJAST in the new era.

After the appointment ceremony, two experts made academic reports respectively and held a forum with leaders of some divisions of our academy. President Guo Guangsheng presided over the forum.
