HONG ZHAO is Vice President of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, President of Zhongguancun Innovation and Development Research Institute, Researcher, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Supervisor, and Consultant of Expert Advisory Group of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. He is the expert enjoying the Special Allowance of the State Council. He is also the Vice President of China Association of Regional Economics and the Vice President of Beijing Industrial Economics Research Association, etc.

He is the founder of Headquarters Economy Theory in China. He has published China's first monograph of Headquarters Economy Theory, Headquarters Economy. HONGZHAO has presided over more than 100 various projects including the major project of National Social Science Fund: "Research on Major Issues of Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ", and has won provincial and ministerial awards such as "Beijing Science and Technology Award" and "Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award" and so on.
