CHUNHUI GAN, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, currently served as the Vice President of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and the Director of Institute of Applied Economics. He is also the Vice President of China Society of Industrial Economics, and Vice President of Shanghai Economist Association.

He was selected as the Cross-century Academic Leader of Industrial Economics of the Ministry of Finance, Member of the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" of the Ministry of Education, and the Leading Talent of Industrial Economics in Shanghai.

His main research areas are industrial structure and policy, economic transformation and industrial upgrading. Besides, he has presided over major projects of the National Social Science Fund including Research on Economic Transformation and Upgrading in the Stage of Medium and High Speed Growth and Accelerating the Adjustment of China's Industrial Structure during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan. In addition, one of his paper has won the first prize of the 11th Shanghai Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences.
