The 1st Director-general meeting scene of the ZGCTA
On September 17, 2020, the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "ZGCTA") held its first director-general meeting. Premised on the theme of "Global Wisdom - Cooperative Innovation", the meeting was attended by 19 representatives from China, the United States, Japan, Israel, Serbia and other countries. Affected by the pandemic, the meeting was held online with simultaneous interpretation in English and Chinese throughout.
The main agenda of this meeting: First, the meeting voted through the "The ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance Charter" by online voting, which nailed down the positioning, operation mechanism, management methods and other specific contents of the alliance; Secondly, Ren Fujun, president of the National Academy of Innovation Strategy (NAIS), announced the election result of the first Director-General Entity. Based on the offline voting conducted before the meeting, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST) was elected as the first Director-General Entity, and Zheng Huanmin, the deputy secretary of the Party Group and president of BJAST as the first director-general of the alliance. Zheng Huanmin then announced that Li Junkai, director of International Cooperation Division of BJAST, will serve as the secretary-general of the Alliance; Thirdly, member made the best of their cutting-edge fields to carry out in-depth exchanges in four aspects: building a platform of exchange, carrying out cooperative researches, serving social development and promoting people-to-people exchanges, which laid a good foundation for follow-up in-depth cooperations.
The successful convening of the first director-general meeting of the ZGCTA indicated the official establishment of the Alliance. The director-general Zheng Huanmin said that as the first Director-General Entity of the alliance, BJAST will assume its responsibilities and he wishes all the best for the development of the Alliance.
