The first Director-General Meeting of the ZGC Global High-level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the “ZGCTA”) was held by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the “BJAST”) on September 17, 2020. During the meeting, the sponsors jointly elected BJAST as the first Director-General Entity of the ZGCTA, and Zheng Huanmin, deputy secretary of the Party Group and president of the BJAST as the first director-general of the board.

Director-General of the ZGCTA: Zheng Huanmin

 

Zheng Huanmin, currently serves as deputy secretary of the Party Group and president of BJAST, a recipient of Special Government Allowance of the State Council and a researcher. Formerly, he served as Director of the Scientific Research and Production Department of the Second Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), Director of the Overall Design Department, Director of the Science and Technology Committee of the Second Institute, Director-General of the key models of the national weapon system, Deputy Director and the member of the Party Members’ Group of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Zheng was formerly an expert for the National 863 Program and was awarded twice the special prize of State Science and Technology Awards.

Secretary-General of the ZGCTA

 

Li Junkai, Doctor of Management, professor, and doctoral supervisor of Peking University. Li currently serves as Director of the International Cooperation Division of BJAST, director of the "Belt and Road" International Technology Cooperation Training Center and formerly served as the vice president of Hebei University (a temporary post). Li has been engaged in the research and management for years in the field of science and technology innovation, employment and entrepreneurship, international exchanges, and higher education. Besides, Li has presided 18 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, published over 60 papers, published 19 monographs, including Research on the Construction Mode and Path of the Science and Technology Innovation Park Chain in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Research on the Practical Strategies of the Collaborative Development of Education in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and Research on the Performance of Science and Technology Innovation of Chinese Youth. In 2020, Li published 6 papers and research reports on People’s Daily, Jiefang Daily, Xinhua Daily, Hongqi Magazine, and internal publications, and have been approved subsequently by the Central Party leadership 3 times.
